108 new cases of coronavirus, national tally reached 16,531

Kathmandu : The country recorded 108 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. Spokesperson at Ministry of Health and Population Dr Jageshwor Gautam shared this information at a regular press briefing today.

 

With the latest update, total number of the infected persons has reached 16,531 in the country.

 

Spokesperson Dr Gautam informed that number of infection was received from 25 laboratories from across the country. Similarly, in the last 24 hours, 4,588 persons got tested via PCR method. There are 24,825 persons staying in quarantine and 8,605 in isolation.

 

As many as 149 persons infected with coronavirus have recovered their normal health in the latest record. So far, 7891 persons have been discharged from health facilities with recovery. Spokesperson Dr Gautam urged everyone to maintain health safety in view of the growing cases of virus infection.
