High-Altitude International Hapkido Training Camp to be Held in Dhorpatan

Kathmandu: For the first time in Nepal, a High-Altitude International Hapkido Training Camp is set to take place in Dhorpatan, Baglung, in September 2025. Organized by the Nepal Hapkido Association, the event will be held on September 12 and 13, 2025, bringing together over 1,000 participants, including international grandmasters, masters, and athletes. Participation is exclusively reserved for black belt holders.

The event aims to provide a prestigious platform for experts to showcase their specialized skills and experience. According to the organizers, the advanced training methodologies and diverse expertise of instructors are expected to introduce new dimensions and technological advancements to Nepal’s sports community.

The primary objective of this training camp is to promote self-defense-based sports while simultaneously highlighting Nepal’s economic, cultural, and tourism potential on a global scale.

Furthermore, the initiative seeks to establish Dhorpatan as an international destination for sports tourism by creating self-employment opportunities for local youth in the fields of sports, tourism, and agribusiness. A strategic focus has also been placed on digital promotion to enhance the region’s global recognition.

This historic training camp is anticipated to pioneer innovation in Nepal’s sports sector while significantly contributing to the country’s economic and cultural development.
