XO Club Raises the Bar for Nepal’s Nightlife

Kathmandu, Kathmandu has a new pulse. With the launch of XO Club, nightlife in Nepal has stepped into a new era of scale, sound, and spectacle. Backed by a massive investment of NPR 30 Crore, the venue is setting benchmarks never seen before in the country.

From the very beginning, XO Club promised to be different. Long before the official launch, an exclusive under-construction party with AFTERHOURS gave the city its first taste of what was coming — a world-class nightlife space built to rival international standards.

At the heart of this transformation is sound. XO Club is the first in Nepal to install Adamson speakers, a globally renowned audio system trusted by the best clubs and festivals worldwide. The setup was personally tuned by Carlos Sallaberry from Adamson, who flew in from Canada to oversee the installation. Combined with state-of-the-art lighting and cutting-edge soundproofing technology, the venue delivers a truly immersive experience for music lovers.

The technical team behind the club reflects the same ambition. The project is led by Team XL, with founder Shashindra Chitrakar actively shaping every detail, alongside Binaya Amatya, celebrated audio engineer and founder of Project Studio Productions. Supporting them is a workforce of more than 100 staff, ensuring service that matches the club’s world-class ambitions. With a capacity to host up to 1,200 guests, XO Club has already established itself as one of the largest premium clubs in the country.

The official opening night on June 6, 2025 was nothing short of electric. Hosted by Roneeshma Shrestha, the evening brought together performances from 555, Bluesss, OMG Spark, and DJ Khatra, drawing an audience of more than 1,200 partygoers eager to witness the start of a new chapter in Kathmandu’s nightlife.

Since then, XO Club has become the stage for some of the most iconic performances in Nepal. Legendary names like Bipul Chettri & The Travelling Band, Sabin Rai & The Pharaoh, John Rai and The Locals, Rachana Dahal, Sacar, Rockheads, Naren Limbu, Purna Rai, Sushant Ghimire, and Jamesy have already headlined at the venue. International artists too have made their mark, from Baby J, Tye Turner, Cocoa, Ksaya, and The Spindoctor (official DJ for Dance India Dance and Redbull India) to festival regulars like Karan Kanchan of Lollapalooza, Kampai of Boiler Room, and Frozt. Nepali DJs including Foeseal, DJ Finzok, Lora, Tenxy, DJ Khatra, and Taro have also found a stage here, reflecting the club’s vision of celebrating both local and global talent.

Beyond the stage, XO Club has also positioned itself as a cultural hub. It has hosted the exclusive premieres of music videos such as Sajjan Raj Vaidya’s “Behuli”, Rachana Dahal’s “Hey Bhagwan”, and Naren Limbu’s “Galti”, cementing its role as a creative space where music, art, and culture converge.

And the journey is only just beginning. On September 12, 2025, XO Club is set to welcome international DJs Fake Tattoos and Almost Human, promising another unforgettable night for the city.

With its unmatched technology, celebrated line-up of performers, and unwavering commitment to quality, XO Club is more than just a venue — it is the new heartbeat of Nepal’s nightlife.
