Kathmandu : Rainfall has been predicted across the country for five more days owing to the westerly low pressure belt.

 

The low pressure belt is moving from north east of the Bay of Bengal to the northwest causing rain in most parts of the country. The Tarai region is to witness windstorm as well.

 

Meteorologist at Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Raju Pradhananga, said, "Although the monsoon generally ends on September 23 in Nepal, the shift of low pressure belt to the north west from Bay of Bengal is causing rainfall.

 

The Weather Forecasting Division also warned of high level of water in the rivers so the people are urged to maintain alert on the activities on the riverbank till September 27.
