Tender called for Jajarkot Hospital's building

Jajarkot, June 19
The Jajarkot Hospital will be getting a new building soon. The detailed project report ( DPR) for the construction of a new building for the hospital has been prepared, and the Surkhet-based Federal Project Implementation Unit, the Urban Development Ministry on Sunday announced a tender for the project and for the construction of other infrastructures.
Around Rs 330 million has been allocated to realize the project.
Currently, the hospital provides services from its 43-year-old crumbled building. It has been shrunk to a 25-bed health facility from the 50-bed for want of sufficient infrastructures, Hospital Management Committee chair Dharmashila Basnet said.
The hospital sees a flock of patients, at all times, from Jajarkot itself and other districts Rukum and Dolpa. It may be noted that Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Bahadur Basnet a month ago had promised to improve the infrastructure of the hospital.
