One dies of altitude sickness in Gosainkunda

Rasuwa, Aug 15:  A youth died while taking holy dip in Gosainkunda last night. Deepak Dhakal, 23, a permanent resident of Melamchi, Sindhupalchowk, currently living in Mulpani, Kathmandu breathed his last due to altitude sickness in Gosainkunda, according to Om Prasad Wagle, spokesperson of District Police Office.


Gosainkunda is located in an altitude of 14,100 feet from sea level. Preparation is on to descend the dead body to Kathmandu, informed police spokesperson Wagle.
